Liverpool - A city of 2 Cathedrals
Liverpool is famous for having two Cathedrals. They are both a ‘must-see’ attraction for anyone visiting the city.
Liverpool Anglican Cathedral took over 74 years to complete. The sheer scale of it can only be appreciated upon arrival.
It is open daily from 08:00 to 18:00 and entrance is free of charge.
The Tower Experience (for those not afraid of heights!) gives you an awesome view of the city and surrounding area from the rooftop of the Cathedral’s tower.
Work began on building the Liverpool Catholic Metropolitan Cathedral in October 1962 and was completed in May 1967.
The Cathedral is open from 08:00 until 18:00 (17:00 on Sundays in the Winter) and entrance is free of charge.
Religious or not, these historic sites are essential viewing for anyone visiting Liverpool.
